What's the Status of ACA 2.0 in YOUR state?
2018 MIDTERM ELECTION
Time: D H M S

I was originally just planning on comparing the various provisions of the House and Senate Democratic versions of their "ACA 2.0" bills against my own, year-old "If I Ran the Zoo" wish list.
Then I wrote a post about a whole bunch of stand-alone bills in California which Louise Norris alerted me to and decided to throw those into the comparison table as well.
And now, with quick state-level action in both Maryland and New Jersey in recent days, I decided to expand this project across every state. I've started color-coding the status of each bill and am even adding some recent/past bills and/or waivers which have failed as I go (i.e., the failed/delayed mandate penalty restoration efforts in Connecticut and Maryland).
This is a work in progress, so the table is probably pretty incomplete for now and will likely be changing constantly as various bills are introduced, moved to committee, voted on, pass/fail, signed/vetoed by governors and actually implemented (or legally challenged).
Here's what it looks like so far; check back frequently! I'll likely have to switch to a Google Docs spreadsheet at some point as more states are added...
NOTE: As I said, I plan on expanding this into a full online spreadsheet, but in the meantime I'll be collecting source links for additions/updates below (none of these are reflected in the version shown above yet):
Washington considered a bunch of health policy bills this year: https://t.co/Ih7QKsbeM7 I think the only one that passed was HB2408, which requires insurers that offer plans to school districts to also offer exchange plans.

they also passed a Reproductive Parity Act, a premium/cost sharing subsidy for under 133% FPL COFA people in the exchange, mandated coverage of 3D mammograms, and 2 dumb chiro/alternative medicine bills

And Colorado has several bills under consideration: https://t.co/4OjVFZEhTu Reinsurance bill was just introduced yesterday, but there's also one for state-based subsidies.

And if you're including DC in your chart, the Mayor included funding for the individual mandate in the budget. City council still has to approve it https://t.co/pgiDOB9vrj

Hawaii also has a bunch of legislation this year: https://t.co/D2hrd2unuI (not sure of the status of the reinsurance legislation... it didn't cross over by the deadline, but state site still shows it pending?)

Another one: Maine passed a bill last year to reinstate reinsurance if they can get a 1332 waiver approved. The state is currently accepting public comments on the proposed waiver: https://t.co/pUkpBmjroK
